Problems?

Looks like Whiskey had a hard time staying in her bed last night and fell out:

Baby blanket

My brother is expecting his third son at the end of this month, so I decided to make him a cute little baby blanket. I used white fleece and trimmed it with mossy green ribbon and yellow embroidery floss. I finished it with a cute yellow patch I got in Japan years ago to highlight the yellow floss. Take a look:

Polka dots

I’m sort of into polka dots at the moment. I experimented with painting on canvas and used thickened dye to make the dots. I’m thinking it’ll look nice as a small little tote.

Bread

Kurt’s been making this awesome bread lately, but he’s being rather cruel, just leaving it sitting on the counter, smelling delicious. I just want to walk over to it, slice open the crusty outside, slather butter all over the soft, warm inside and eat it aaaaaaaaaaaaaall.

But he’s told me I have to wait, that it’s really for dinner tonight. :(

This is utter torture.

On the up side, now I know dinner will be awesome! (who cares what else we have with the bread!)

Hasami

Just received the vintage Japanese thread scissors Kurt found for me on ebay. Aren’t they awesome? Now embroidering Sashiko will feel that much more “authentic.”
